Sep 10, 2013 · Built by KAC, I think that's the extent of my knowledge. The uppers were made for the DEA's CLET (Chemical Lab Enforcement Team) due the the need to minimize hot muzzle gas in potentially flammable environments (i.e., drug labs).

Nov 22, 2023 · This is the DEA Carbine, cloned after the Colt Model 635sd built by Knights Armament Company, It took us a long time to get here, but we are here. Integrally suppressed 9mm sd, Colt mags, the production runs are made with Mayhem Machine Tool Uppers, my lower, and lots of other fun parts, the barrel is 5.25" long.

Apr 26, 2020 · Years ago I picked up one of the KAC integrally suppressed uppers that KAC made for the DEA CLET for their Colt 9mm SMGs. I picked it up for my transferable RO635. It was made somewhat famous back in the day by the "Knock Knock" art work showing the team armed with Colt SMGs w/these uppers about to do an entry.

Dec 3, 2023 · What you’re looking at is a relatively close clone of the Colt Model 635SD, aka the DEA Carbine, which was originally produced in very limited quantities (some say 25 total were made) for the “Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement Team.”

The Colt 635-SD was a joint effort between @knightarmco and @coltfirearms to build a integrally suppressed 9mm sub machine gun based on the model 635 to arm the DEA’s Clandestine Lab Enforcement Teams (CLET) in the 1980s.

Allegedly only around 20 of the original 635-SDs were produced for testing by the DEA. Due to the suppressor’s short service life and inadequate flash suppression it was never adopted. . . . #colt635sd #9mm #supressed".
