May 23, 2013 · For now i,m staying with 6.5x47, hoping Frank gets my barrel out to me soon. Just to clarify XC is based on 22-250 however the CM is based on 30TC So necking down 30TC will yield CM, necking up 22-250 will not yield CM brass. Thou there is nothing wrong with 6-250, necked up 22-250.

Sep 18, 2017 · The top nationally ranked PRS shooters in our region have gone from 6XC, 6 SLR and 6 Creed over to the Dasher or other 6BR based variant. Biggest advantages are low recoil and less muzzle blast/pressure wave due to a lot less powder being burned, and a cartridge that holds consistency better over the life of the barrel.

Aug 13, 2007 · If you run the 22-250 brass up into the 308 die before the xc die, it'll lay the outboard edge of the shoulder back, and prevent the mushroom tip effect. EDIT: just measured, mine are ~.005" longer than "spec" after two firings, and a light trim (Giraud - to get a nice in/out chamfer) prior to first firing and after each firing.

Jul 10, 2020 · Don’t discount the 6 Norma Dasher. I have two. Both run 105/107s at 3000 with ease. I have burned down 2 x 6BRs, I have 2 x 6 Dasher N and am working on a new 6XC. No question the 6 BR is the easiest to load, basically plug and play with VarGet and RL15. 6 Dasher N right on it’s tail and also has no fire forming required.

Feb 1, 2018 · i have a boatload of prime ammo in 6.5 creed so sticking with large works for me. the brass is more than capable. I have not run the 110s. i have a 7.25 twist i'm going to try them in but they need a very fast twist, faster than anything else (sierra says 7 twist or faster). they seem to be very finicky rl16/17. speed. accuracy hit or miss.

Apr 28, 2020 · The 6 6.5-47 Lapua has probably has the best brass of all but it comes at a price. And with Lapua using small primers it will with stand higher pressures. But as with anything it all comes down to trade offs. When you see German Salazar or David Tubbs shooting the XC in competition, I figure the cartridge must have some positive aspects to it.

Oct 19, 2009 · You can easily size Hornady 6 Creedmoor brass to 6XC, but you will end up with a doughnut. Like I said, though, seating outside of the doughnut is no problem for the XC, as long as your throat allows it. Otherwise, you'll have to ream the case to get rid of it. I can't speak for the 6 Creed, but I have yet to find a load that my 6XC doesn't like.
