Jun 30, 2023 · 5 x 15 = 75 mil people who buy new cars. 75 /200 is roughly 1/3. Only 1 in 3 drivers make up the new market. So no offense, someone making well under average income is not supposed to be buying new cars, they should be buying used. Cars are more expensive but last longer, so nothing wrong with a 5 year old car.

Also that cars interior even with full leather feels cheap, even the newer 981 didn’t come with CarPlay standard. Both sound systems are junk. Many of them had kinda ugly steering wheels. One last thing, you may not like how it feels to drive if you haven’t pushed one.

Maintenance is reasonable (unlike many German cars), parts are plentiful, they are fast, handle well and a used Corvette has most of the depreciation incurred by someone else. If you need 4 seats, the Camaro SS 1/LE, again maintenance is easy and not unreasonable, they are fast, handle well and a blast to drive (visibility sucks a bit).

I love cars that handle great and still have that power but they don’t need insane straight line power like a muscle car with the boat like handling all that weight brings in all but the highest trims. Of all the cars I’ve been able to find and research a bit, it seems like the Cadillac CT4-V would be a good fit.

May 19, 2016 · The $50k you sink into a car today is money that can't be saved and grow for the future. That's a big deal when that $50k, used as investment "seed" money, could grow into a crap ton in the future. I'd wait to get to the point where my long term investments are already on track and I don't mind eating the depreciation and opportunity cost.
