Jul 4, 2006 · Gale McMillam only chambered a couple of rifles for the Fat Mac. He encountered severe fouling problems and rapid barrel wear. He tried a few things to mitigate them but none were really successful. He was interested in developing a real rifle/cartridge combination, not just an experiment to see how fast he could shoot a 50 caliber bullet.

Mar 29, 2002 · The wife used 180gr NP in her 30-06 and had great results with with it. Game taken were Gemsbok, Red Hartebeest, Blesbok, Waterbuck and Impala. Feb 2, 2005 · Jimmy Mac, What is the OAL on your loads & what bullet are ya using? It seems like T/C barrels have longer throats than most factory bolt guns. I also have an Encore with 7-08 rifle&454 Casull pistol barrels. Anyway, If you do have a little longer OAL than the normal 2.8ish I'd sure be interested in your results. Good Shooting, Bruce

Feb 24, 2025 · So I thought I would chuck the question out there. When where grease, thin layer, vs oil. (thin layer too). I saw some tubes of lucas and tetra and recognize I do not use grease much anymore. Regular cleaning, EWL 2000 is my current lube. I know everyone has favorites, I get that. What, when, why, how? Thanks!
