Feb 10, 2017 · The control system is the same for all 4l80e's with 1 exception. 91-93 4l80e's used a different pressure control solenoid that required a clean8ng cycle every 10 seconds where the solenoid was stroked from full open to full closed and back to normal operation.

Jan 8, 2017 · I'm curious as to how necessary it would be if the truck body originally had a 5.7 with the 4l80. He basically says that the problem is using the TPS from the 6.5 and also converting from drive by wire back to a cable, but the 5.7 wouldn't have that problem.

Aug 18, 2016 · Pretty sure there is 2 different output shafts that were used. Up to 00 they were all 32 spline outputs, but sarting in 01 the 4l80e or 4l85e in a 3500 truck had the MUCH larger 29 spline output shaft.
