Project Zero G was started in 2003 to form a community for rear wheel drive (RWD) 4G63 motor swaps. Over the years members of the site have contributed a great deal of information making swaps easier, cleaner, cheaper, faster, more reliable, and more fun.

May 16, 2007 · The D50 transmission isn't as ideal as some of the wideblock options that are out there, but it is the easiest entry level way to swap a 4G63 at the moment without having to source 2 engines and put together a DOHC wideblock. This "kit" includes: D50 pickup transmission with 88 Starion tail housing and waffle plate.

The small trucks also known as the "Dodge Ram D50, Mitsubishi Mighty Max and Plymouth Arrow" came equipt with several engines: the 2.0L 4G63 (G63B), the 2.4L 4G64 (G64B), and 2.6L G54B. Depending on year and type of transmission, the 2.0L trucks may have a narrowblock.

Nov 19, 2005 · This swap is incredibly easy. Use a 2.0 mighty max 5 spd trans(bolts to the 4g63), mighty max clutch, mighty max engine mounts, reverse the turbo, block off the throttle body hole on the intake and weld a flange to the hole you bore into the other side of manifold. 1g fuel pump is a direct replacement.

Nov 27, 2002 · I posted a 4g63 swap topic that I did in a 510 a short while ago. The stock Starion 5-speed does not bolt up. You have to use the D50 5-speed. But that creates a problem, the D50 trans uses a cable for the clutch unlike the Starions master and slave setup. On my car I used the D50 for the bellhousing only and used the rear Starion housing and ...

Jul 4, 2009 · The early 90's Hyundai Sonata's are easier swaps. 88 - 91 CRX, 92 - 95 civic's (4 dr, 2 dr, or Hatch), The Mighty Max or Dodge D50. Of course there's always the Starion / Conquest option. I've seen a 4g63 swapped into a Chevy Beretta on car domain.

Nov 15, 2010 · A 2.0 Ram 50 would be a 4G63 motor, just the SOHC version. The narrow block version will allow bolting in the 4G63 turbo motor out of a first generation Eclipse. The wide block version won't, but you could put a DOHC turbo head on it and rebuild it.

Apr 18, 2013 · The G63B is actually a 2.0, 1997cc. It was used in a lot of stuff, in SOHC form (trucks) and DOHC form (in the cars like the Eclipse), the DOHC version is known as a 4G63. The G63B is a Narrow Block in most cases, I believe the 4G63 is a Wide Block, since the Turbo 2.0L from an Eclipse is sometimes swapped into the D50's

Sep 23, 2006 · There was a 48 Ford truck at the local PPG rod run with a 4g63 under the hood this summer. I wish I could remember what the tranny was, I'm pretty sure it was an auto, but no idea whose. Didn't the D50/Mighty Max use the 4g63 for a few years after the 2.6 went out?
