Its current assignment is with the 55th Electronic Combat Group at Davis–Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona as a geographically separated unit from its parent wing, the 55th Wing at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. May 1, 2012 · 42nd TEWS was assigned to Korat from 1970-74, and (supposedly) ONLY EB-66 were there from 1968-74; which would suggest (but not prove) that a "Sooie" patch had to do only with EB model personnel. Here's a variant owned by Greg Pierce as shown by Bob Freitag:
