Sep 24, 2013 · The old AMT Automag III might be a good host platform for a 4.6x30 conversion. The Automag III was essentially a stretched 1911 chambered for the .30 Carbine. The .30 Carbine has a max OAL of 1.68" and so the receiver would easily be able to accommodate the 4.6x30.

Dec 24, 2024 · Spot on as usual @German, I don’t think it’s possible to do a subsonic 4.6x30 round that will reliably cycle a gas operated firearm like the MP7. There are some US subsonic loads being worked on, which I want mostly for my 4.6x30 ammunition collection.

Aug 7, 2023 · While HK has ventured into non-standard calibers, such as the 4.6x30, and has even produced limited guns in .300blk, these are typically not economically viable. Factors like limited adoption, ammunition availability, and ammunition cost come into play.
