These sirens make a great little detail to add to your layout, or diorama. This is the Federal 3T-22 siren. The kit includes 6 cast urethane parts, and a wood utility pole to mount the siren. This model is in 1/87 (HO) scale.

The Federal Signal 3T22 / 2T22 was an outdoor warning siren made by Federal Signal Corporation (formerly Federal Sign and Signal Corporation) from 1952 through the early 1990s. It has a very recognizable design, having a ten-port rotor (chopper) on the bottom with ten cones (horns) and a 12-port one on top with twelve cones.

Aug 8, 2019 · I don't own any sirens myself, but I'd say the 3T22 is one of the cooler sirens out there, being one of the few with coding dampers and capable of hi-lo signals. The 10/12 port ratio also sounds really nice.

Aug 27, 2013 · Ralph Ratcliffe Models has released a 1/87 scale 3T22 and a revamped 1/87 scale STH-10. Both models now feature rounded out ends of the horns to give them a somewhat hollow look. The horns of the old STH-10 were solid and you'd have to take a Dremel tool to hollow them out.
