Oct 16, 2019 · porchdog, 3shape scanners must have licensed 3shape software to run it, you can import into exocad but you would be paying for both. 3shape is a good solution for beginners, exo is a bit more advanced for the computer illiterate, IMO. Its apples and oranges, samsung and apple, 3shape and exo. Both do what you need it to do in the end.

Mar 20, 2014 · I don't think theres anything particularly wrong or difficult with with getting someone on the phone when I have an issue right now, but since CAP has such a good reputation Ive approached them about buying a computer prior to installing the 3Shape 2014. Transferring the dongle isn't cheap, so Im curious to hear dialogue about support.

May 17, 2018 · If you want the PC to be in the lab and connect to the dongle PC write the dongles PC´s local adress. i.e 192.168.199. This will not let you access your database on the dongle computer then you need to set up a 3 Shape database server as well, this will only let you access the dongle from anywhere in the world.

Jun 29, 2013 · If it is the same business but two completely different location you would have to purchase a whole new 3shape to get the second dongle. If it is in the same building and a separate station for designing, they can add a second design seat to the main dongle for an additional annual fee, not sure exactly maybe the same 2000-2500.

Nov 29, 2022 · I’m not sure but 3shape will probably charge you just to find out. When I looked almost ten years ago it was around $2000-2500 to buy a dongle, + additional fees for license activation. This could have changed though. Definitely ask before buying, any reseller should be able to quote and check the serial.
