I’m looking to get some more great RPGs for my 3ds but don’t know which ones. I’ve only played Bravely Default, Fantasy Life, Xenoblade 3D, and the Mario & Luigi games.

RPG Maker Fes is an RPG Maker game for the Nintendo 3DS. That was released on June 23rd in Europe and on June 27th in North America. It's being developed by Kadowaka Games. The original version was published in Japan on November 24th 2016.

Apr 15, 2021 · My favourites are Radiant Historia Perfect Chronology, Tales of the Abyss and Monster Hunter Stories on the JRPG side of things, Monster hunter 4U on the action RPG side. There's also the DS port of Chrono Trigger, which is probably the best version of what is widely considered one of the best JRPGs ever made

Oct 22, 2019 · Honorable 3ds mentions: Mario and Luigi series (Any entry), turn based combat with action commands mixed in to deflect, do more damage, or attack enemies who're attacking you, every battle in this turn based rpg isn't something you'll mash 'A' through. Plus the storylines are comedic, and handled well.

Also the new 3ds is getting port of Xenoblade Chronicles which is a great JRPG originally released on the Wii. It it's for the new 3ds only ...

I used to shit when people called Zelda an RPG back in the 80's/90's because it isn't. Now people will call anything with more than 20 hours of gameplay and big swords an RPG. It's gotten ridiculous. If MH is an RPG, it's also a puzzler because you need to think when you fight and build things from different parts after.

It’s sort of a niche franchise, but the Etrian Odyssey series (III is the only one exclusively for the DS, all the other games are on the 3DS or have a remastered version) is a lot of fun if you’re looking for a challenge and don’t mind having a shallower narrative.
