Jul 20, 2019 · For awhile 160grn wadcutters were gaining some use. It takes a lot of testing in a very accurate gun to see the real difference between the noses of wadcutters. My load is very accurate from all my firearms but not in your 8-900 fps range. My load is 148 grn HBWC 2.7 grns bullseye (old) rem pistol primer in a 38 spl case.

May 27, 2011 · Trail Boss works great in my 38 spl guns with wadcutters. (Or any other bullet for that matter) Powder up to the base of the bullet with a flush seated wadcutter is a mild load and very accurate.

Dec 5, 2014 · Colt made some blow back 1911s that used a diffrent mag and heavier spring. My load is a hollow based 148 grn wadcutter over 2.7 grns bullseye. While the rifle will more than likely work with any 38 spl load bullet combo the 1911 wadcutter guns will only work with wadcutters, anything else is to long for magazine. Just something to keep in mind.
