Apr 23, 2020 · I use to shoot 125s out of my 30-06. Killed so many deer with that round with minimal meat damage. Such a hard round to find for factory ammo so I switched to a heavier round. Sorry I cant provide much help, i'm not into reloading but i saw 125 grain out of 30-06 and it brought me back.

Mar 6, 2016 · Check out underwood ammo. They mainly load nosler products and a box of 30-06 costs 35 dollars. My dad has had success with them. They are a family owned company from Illinois, great people to deal with and very knowledgeable.

Jul 23, 2016 · I've had OK results with the 165 gr. Accubonds in the .30-06 Springfield. I actually won 10 boxes of them in an internet contest a few years back, so I'll be shooting them for a while. I think they are a fine whitetail bullet, but would probably be a little skittish if I was forced to use them on heavier game where I had to impact bone.

Jun 25, 2018 · Last year I developed a great load with some heavy ELDX bullets for my Browning x-bolt in 30-06. They were tack drivers and shot great and outperformed the same weight Nosler Accubonds. My original intention was to use these bullets on Elk. This fall I was able to harvest two deer with the same load. Both shots were around 150 yards.

Jan 19, 2021 · Good looking gun. Bought a x-bolt in maple and rose wood with a octagon barrel chambered in 30-06. The only thing I don't like is the machine pressed checkering and the removable mag. But they are sweet shooters and easy on the peeper's. Injoy it.

It took considerable effort to get the action and stock apart, but I’m now able to deep clean 40+ years of oil and grime off some parts.

Oct 8, 2016 · My elk rifle is a 30-06 that I use 180gr Hornady inter lock's in and the 6.5x55 is my backup using 140gr Hot Cores. I've killed three elk with three shots with my 6.5x06 using 140gr Hornady inter locks.

Nov 24, 2016 · I have a Browning A-Bolt .30-06 that I bought 20 years ago with my college graduation money. The rifle came with a BOSS and I haven't hunted with it for a while because of the muzzle brake. Without starting a muzzle brake debate I'm looking for some opinions on my options. I could get a BOSS-CR but I would rather have a naked muzzle.
