Apr 21, 2015 · The importers are asking $5,000-$7,000 for one with ECU and some wiring. The 2JZ-GTE came mated to the A340E on the auto variation, so in theory - you can bolt the 2JZ-GTE to an A340F to retain 4WD. Keep in mind a USDM GTE is extremely rare. The UZ swap will be far cheaper and relatively easier due to it's shape and relative size to the 5VZ.

Mar 27, 2018 · You can't afford a high HP 2JZ swap and even if you can don't, put that money towards something that matters like a house. If you have the kind of money to do a 2J swap then just buy a Tundra and be happy. I helped a buddy build a 550hp RB25 powered 240sx, all said and done about 25k went into that car, and we got some hellova good deals.

Jan 21, 2021 · 2jz = 3.0L 1jz = 2.5L I'd take the 2jz, especially since parts are more readily available stateside. The 7M is pretty bulletproof with a few mods. I've got a metal headgasket, ARP studs torqued to 75ft lbs, (original was 52 ft lbs and wayyy to low, hence the BHG that plauged the 7M) I won't ever swap a 1jz. If I swap it'll be a 2jz or LSx.
