Hello all, This is a post intended for those who are thinking about enlisting in the Army as a 25H or seeking to transfer to this MOS. Given that there was little information when I came in, I decided to write what AIT for 25H is like, from an IET perspective. Most of the stuff here doesn’t apply if you’re an MOS-T, only the course itself.

Mar 22, 2023 · You can get vouchers from the school house for the certification test, but you need to finish your percipio online training first. If you're in the guard, your state G6 will also provide you with vouchers to take those exams. AIT for reclassing and maybe prior service is called MOS-T, so yes to daily PT and having your vehicle.

Jan 27, 2023 · 25H Is a merged mos consisting of 25N, 25Q, and 25L. The job you work is depending on what your unit does, what equipment they have, etc.

Oct 12, 2022 · Also, which mos would best prepare me for the civilian sector? I hear that 25U is hit or miss and sometimes you are a one-man show or are stuck doing basic mindless tasks. However, being a new mos, I fear 25h will have a lot of problems and learning curves early on. Lastly, which mos would allow me to have the best work life balance?

It goes on to say later that 25H duties will include cabling, wiring and maintaining fiber (L), maintenance and operation of IP based nodal systems and other network stuff (N), LOS and beyond LOS, relay towers and tropo (Q) and to finally operate and maintain assigned comsec equipment (I guess thats W?). Seems odd, but it makes sense tbh.

I want the Army to be a long-term career and I started my bachelors degree in Network & Telecommunications, so basically my question is if it's good job.

Oct 7, 2023 · 25H, 25B, 25S, 17C are all good options. If you go 25H, there is a real chance you will be placed in an Air defense artillery unit and never do anything remotely networking related. If you end up in a signal unit, you will probably end up doing networking stuff especially as a Hotel/Bravo.
