Jan 15, 2007 · To look at it another way, your 1972 240Z would blow the minds of anyone driving around a stock 1942 coupe (30 years difference). Sure you can do lots to improve the Z, but in terms of overall driveability, the Miata will be very hard to beat.

Aug 30, 2015 · I was able to get 48F/52R in my NA powered L6 1970 240Z. Move the engine back to the firewall and drop it an inch or two. Run a CF hood, move a small lithium battery behind the passenger seat, remove the bumpers, gut the doors, etc.

Oct 18, 2011 · The Miata is peaky by comparison and peaky engines can feel fast but not actually be fast. As for handling, the Z is under-steer biased in stock form. The Miata is closer to neutral and mine seems to be over-steer biased.

May 8, 2013 · Obviously, the Miata will be the easiest to find in good condition. A nice 240Z is going to be the hardest. If I was looking for a fun driver, I would choose the RX-7, particularly the aforementioned 84-85 GSL-SE, but I may be biased.

Datsun 240Z - Everything looks fine on paper and there are many modifications available to tune to car (engine and ride) to what I like, but I am worry about if a 40 year-old car would be to big of a departure from a modern car.2. Miata - Is the answer to everything really Miata? I feel the engine is a little underpowered.3.

Feb 18, 2016 · The caveat is, I don't think it'll give you that same feel as the S2k, Miata or 240Z. Some say the BRZ/FRS is similar.

Mar 8, 2010 · Like Lanny, I’d love to be offered the chance to babysit for a few days somebody’s well-restored 240z, whether in totally stock condition, like mine was, or nicely upgraded with the triple-carb, header and exhaust setup and appropriate suspension upgrades.
