Sep 3, 2013 · As a point of reference I made the presumption that 22 tcm and 22 hornet had some similarities , regardless of the fact that one is a rifle and one is a pistol. Silmilar case volumes and projectile weights, one referenced load of 11 grains of h110 with a 40 grain bullet on the hornet and 10.5 grains of h110 on th TCM , pretty close.

Feb 26, 2020 · When I was looking into it, the .22 TCM seems like a good idea, but in a rifle, the .22 Hornet is a better proposition. I'm betting that forming brass from .223 is a lot more trouble than it sounds like too. Keep your eyes peeled for a Savage 340 or 219 in .22 Hornet, both are good rifles for cast shooting in my experience.

22 TCM - Powder? - 1911Forum
Feb 3, 2014 · Fred Craig (inventor of 22 TCM) supposedly recommended 9-10 grains of H110/W296 for reloading the cartridge (I've been using 9.8g with success), but I noticed that quite a few folks on this forum (and others) have gone beyond that in hopes of matching the factory rounds. Out of curiosity I took...
Update For Those Interested in the .22 TCM - 1911Forum
Sep 10, 2018 · Factory .22 TCM loads seem to average over 2,000 fps from 5" barrels, compared to the 5.7x28 averaging around 1,650-1,750 fps - both with 40 grain bullets. I've managed to produce 5.7 loads that basically match the TCM's factory numbers, but such is the "floor" of the TCM's performance envelope.
.22TCM9R in a .22TCM? - 1911Forum
Jan 24, 2015 · Just listened to Fred Craig talk about the TCM 9R versus The 22 TCM, what he said is that the case is the same, powder charge is the same but the bullet is shaped a little different to shorten it enough to fit into a 9MM magazine. Bullet weight is the same. With that information my guess is that it would work in the 22TCM.

Mar 6, 2013 · I would hardly call the TCM or the FN 5.7x28 a 22 mag. The five-seven can push a 40 grain vmax @ 1650 or so in 5 inches of barrel. The fact that you can stuff 20 in a comfortably sized pistol is a nice thing in itself although my thinking is that it is rarely needed.
22 TCM 9R cast bullet
Feb 11, 2018 · What is everyone using to load cast bullets in the 22 TCM 9R pistol or the 22 TCM rifle and pistol? I just ordered a RIA Mapp 22 TCM 9R pistol and also have a AR converted to 22 TCM using the ARguy's PPS-43 magazine conversion. Anyone use the Arsensal 22 cast bullet and powder coat it? Seems possible.
22 TCM Failure to Extract - 1911Forum
Feb 27, 2014 · I recently bought a 22 TCM/9mm. There was no ammo available locally so the first time I shot it I shot 200 rounds of 9mm. It functioned perfectly using the installed extractor and changing to the 9mm barrel. This week I received the 22 TCM ammo that I had ordered. Out of 120 rounds fired I had about a 90-95% failure to extract rate.
Loading and/or forming cases for 22 TCM - Cast Boolits
Apr 29, 2023 · Anybody out there reloading 22 TCM or forming cases from 357 Mag or .223 brass? I am having trouble getting reformed brass to go into the chamber of my Contender. No problems with factory ammo. The .223 cases don't want to go all the way into the chamber and the barrel won't close. I can chamber the 357 cases and get them to close sometimes with a …
