What are the pros and cons of a 22-250? | Sniper's Hide Forum
Jan 16, 2010 · I think the .22-250's ability to shoot acurately with practically any bullet weight, with the caveat that the rifling twist must be compatible, is a chacteristic that is very, very hard to ignore. I think that there could be a way to have this cake and eat it. If one treats the .22-250 as a 'the .223 that could', it takes on a whole new ...

Heavy Bullets in 22-250 | Sniper's Hide Forum
Jul 16, 2006 · Re: Heavy Bullets in 22-250 There is some good reading on this over at 6mmbr.com. In a nut shell the 22-250 and heavy bullets belong in a long barrel to take advantage of the powder capacity. You need slower powder to push the heavies and a short barrel negates the abilities of the combination. 22-250, 1-9 twist + 75gr Amax in a 26" tube = harmony
Most accurate powders for the 22-250 | Sniper's Hide Forum
Jul 10, 2009 · Re: Most accurate powders for the 22-250 Try 39 grns of H380 under a 50 grn Vmax in win cases and cci br2 primer. This load has always shot great in various 22-250 that I have owned over the years. It also works pretty good with 55 grn sierra blitz kings.

22arc versus 6 arc | Sniper's Hide Forum
Nov 19, 2024 · Seems everyone loves their 6 arc. But 22 arc shoots flatter. 6 arc has more energy on target and better at extending max range. Anyone else on the fence about which one to go with Seems 22 arc would be better to 5-600 yards

Jul 29, 2014 · 22-250 has a whole lot of case taper, when stacked in a mag the case heads will stack much taller than the shoulders, you almost need a banana clip to feed it instead of the common aics which does better with less case taper. 22 …
Need a good 22-250 | Sniper's Hide Forum
Jan 25, 2019 · Like others mentioned, the 22-250 is a barrel burner (< 1,500 rounds) which can happen fast is you hit the range often. Tikka, Bergara, Howa, and Savage all make nice varmint rifles in 22-250 and pre-2007 Remingtons are usually very accurate as well.
22 Creedmoor or 22-250? | Sniper's Hide Forum
Mar 31, 2021 · You could consider the .22-250 AI and that would net you more brass options and end up nearly identical in case design. The .22-250 is already overbore and burns barrels quickly, the .22 creed will only be worse. Take your time at the range, shoot slowly and let the barrel cool. I think both are good choices.
22-250 and H380 | Sniper's Hide Forum
Jan 1, 2018 · 38g of h380 with a 55g is an old accuracy load for the 22-250. It shot great in my first 22-250, I haven't used any in years because there are these powders called Varget and 8208. LOL It looked like 4166 could give more velocity than those two according the Hodgdon data. I want to say it took about 8 pounds of h380 to shoot that first barrel out.
