Apr 9, 2013 · I have owned a Marlin Classic, Ruger No.1, Winchester 43, & a Cooper 38 all chambered for the 218 Bee Still have the Win. 43 in the Bee, and rebarreled the Cooper into the 17 Ackley Bee.. The 218 Bee is a good cartridge, no recoil, low report, but is low on the performance end, still has a spot in my safe. My load is the 40 gr. V-Max and IMR4227..

Oct 19, 2016 · The Bee is a very mild and pleasant round to shoot, and I'd hold off on the can, at least until you try it and see. From a few hundred yards, the report is pretty mild. This case head spaces on the rim, and you will have good results in you set your sizing die to just fit your chamber and no more.

Mar 12, 2025 · I'm still crying over selling my Tauras 218 bee. I sold it to buy a Marlin 218 bee, but the money went elsewhere. Now try to find one under 1,500 bucks. I hate to spend that kind of dough on one, but life is too dang short. Going to hunt me one down this year. I have about 10 factory boxes of ammo and a bunch of cases and dies for the bee.

I fired five rounds and quickly decided I HAD to scope it, I'm 67 and half blind, so my gunsmith is making a scope base that will let me use a Scout Scope on it.

Nov 7, 2015 · One could confirm with Taurus but I would expect a modern revolver to have a .224 groove diameter barrel. My favorite powder is Accurate 1680. The Accurate site has 218 Bee rifle data for 1680 powder. A link is attached. I normally use Winchester brass and Federal 205M primers. I find the 218 Bee case quite durable, much more so than 22 Hornet ...

I am finding a lot of good info on all the old Winchesters on these forums and other places on the web. The 1892 - 218 BEE is definitely rare as I have seen many original 1892's of the other calibers for sell all over the web and not one in the 218 BEE.

Jun 29, 2012 · The .218 Bee is a smokeless powder update of the old .22WCF black powder cartridge, and as already mentioned, it's is based on the 32-20 family of cases. the Hornet is slightly smaller in diameter than the Bee and has about 2/3 the powder capacity of the Bee case. And nope, you can't form Hornet brass from the 32-20 family cases.

There are a lot of shill bids on GB trying to drive the prices up and then Wham...the same rifle comes up for sale 30 days later from the same guy.
