Apr 24, 2012 · First, the plow has to trail off-center to the right, and/or the right wheel has to be moved in. If the plow has a 14" cut, then with the right wheel in the previous furrow, the landside of the plow (the flat plate on the inside of the plowshare that rides in the bottom of the furrow) should be 14" inside the right rear tire.
8n,2 bottom plow or 3?? - My Tractor Forum
Dec 26, 2011 · The N is a 2 bottom plow tractor and depending on your type of ground a 16" may be just a little to much for it but a 14" should be the berries. If it is REALLY hard ground a 12" might even be better.
Bought a 2 bottom plow but... - My Tractor Forum
Apr 2, 2012 · In the 4th pic the plow is too far to the right. I can see that with the plow over where it needs to be you don't have room between the lift arm and lynch pin to put a sway bar. You'll have to work with shortening the left chain. It might limit lifting the plow all of the way up, but you should be able to lift it enough to turn on the ends.

Aug 17, 2011 · Got grandpa's 8n and wanted to use plow with it was thinking a 2 bottom plow ok, but wasn't sure if size mattered. Today a guy locally was selling these: one is a 2/16 deereborn asking $350.00 second one 2/16 ford adj. $425.00. Would either of these be appropriate for an 8n if the are 3pt? And do these prices sound reasonable. thanks

Of course this tractor weighs nearly 1900lbs with my 200+lbs & FEL on it (filled tires & cast weights add 300lbs of the weight). Running somewhere around 6"+ deep.

What size plow to buy? - My Tractor Forum
Mar 8, 2011 · I have a 25hp 4WD Jinma and I pull a 2-bottom 14" MF plow with very little straining. Similar soil. I was able to go both up and downhill, but uphill sometimes was a bit tougher. To loosen mine up I ran a subsoiler (6") about 12-18" down around a lot of the field. Helped loosen it up really well, and wasn't too big to bog me down a lot.
Questions Suspected 2 bottom plow made for a Farmall C
Sep 22, 2013 · Meaning if it is for a C, I may find one at some point to buy and use the plow. What kind of plow is it with the slatted moldboards? My brother and I are pretty good welders and fabricators but would like to know if this is readily possible. My alternative is to go find a 2 bottom trip plow or a 3 point 2 bottom new or used. Thanks in advance.
Thoughts on this Ford plow (considering CL purchase)
May 9, 2016 · This plow has a mechanize trip spring so if you hit a rock the spring will trip and the whole bottom will roll forward and save you from breaking parts. What's nice about it is you can just back up the tractor and the spring will pop the bottom back into place without getting off the tractor. They also made a non spring manual trip 101 plow.
