Oct 5, 2008 · I recently bought an ecu for a 1HD-FTE from a 79 series Ute with the view to using it as a test piece (ie: try to get "inside" it) for hotting up this engine. I guess this is aimed at those who have done an FTE conversion or looked into it.

Oct 27, 2015 · It had a nice drivetrain with the 1HDFT, H151 and factory locking differentials. I was listing things out and realized the frame and axles would be really sweet for a 79 series build. The next morning I was introduced to @cwwfj60 who happened to be holding onto this truck. A deal was struck and here we are.
