Jul 3, 2024 · Here’s some pics of a Caterpillar 16M grader circle & drawbar assembly we rebuilt & delivered back to our customer. The drawbar & circle were completely disassembled for cleaning, blasting, maganfluxing for cracks, welding & machining.

Apr 5, 2024 · Here’s some pics of a Caterpillar 16M grader circle drive going through our repair & rebuilding process. Th bronze 450-6182 gear & the worm gear are getting replaced. Some of the bores inside the housing need to be machined, welded or sleeved & bored back to specs.

Jun 24, 2022 · This is a Caterpillar 16M grader circle, drawbar & moldboard assembly with the circle drive motor that we did a complete repair & rebuild to. After welding & repairing all the cracks we machined all the bores & surfaces back to Cat specs.

Operate the circle for several minutes to mix the circle drive oil. Stop the engine. Remove check/fill plug (2). Remove drain plug (1). Allow the oil to drain into a suitable container. Clean the drain plug and install the drain plug. Fill the circle drive housing with final drive and axle oil.

Measure clearance (Y) that is between the bottom flange of the circle pinion and the inner machined surface of the blade circle. If the clearance is not within 60.0 to 63.0 mm (2.36 to 2.48 inch), then adjust the clearance. In order to inspect the shoe wear strips, remove shoe mounting fasteners (8). Note: Remove each circle shoe (9) one at a time.
