Now would the 4060 be capable of running games like GTA, BeamNG, and ETS2 at 120-140ish fps at high settings on 1440p? The reason I don't want a 1080p monitor because I am using a 1900 x 1080 24 inch monitor and using that at 1080 annoys me already, so going from 24 inch WUXGA to 27 inch 1080p is really not an option.

Nov 12, 2021 · The 3060 can certainly play games at 1440p, but not necessarily at the highest settings and 60 fps (let alone 100+ fps) in more demanding games. For reference, I game at 1440p on an RTX 2070 Super, which is marginally faster than the 3060 at 1440p according to the Techspot/HUB review of the 3060. Is there as much of a difference between 4k and 1440p as there
I've got multiple 1440p 144hz monitors and a 4k OLED TV connected to my 3090. I barely ever play games on my 1440p screens anymore because things look so much better on the TV. But the resolution increase is a tiny factor in that. If the monitors and TV had the same kind of panel I'd barely ever play recent demanding games on the 4k screen.

Feb 27, 2022 · 27" 1440p is ideal. I have two 27" 1440p 144Hz screens on different PCs and both are the perfect balance of size and clarity. I used a 30" 2560x1600 monitor for a while and it was just big enough to notice the pixels. 32" is in 4K territory in my opinion.

Jan 1, 2021 · 1080p is very ugly on 27 inch. Its not that bad in games or movies though. 1440p is pretty much ideal. 27 inch 1440p most optimum desktop experience. 32 inch is a bit big for desktop but 32 inch 4k could be next sweet spot. I hope 34 ultrawide qhd will be widespread though. Easier on desk than 32 inch, easier to run as well, looks impressive too.

Yeah been gaming 1440p for like 18 months now and it's been a great pleasure. I still have my 1080p monitor as my second monitor. Highly recommend 1440p if your hardware can handle it. (GTX1070/1080 minimum IMO). I can run everything pretty much maxed out still with my 1080ti. With lower cards you'd need to sacrifice some detail settings here ...
