Feb 28, 2012 · the 12v has better flow through the head, cheaper to work on. The main advantage the 24v has is the 6 speed transmission and gearing more than anything to make up for the loss of bottom end torque. Personally, I like the 12v more, bit more ooph to it.

Feb 26, 2006 · The 12v vr6 is not. The most desirable reason to go VR6 is not that it's a better motor than the 2.7t it's just that there is more room to run a very large turbo. More difficult with the space provided with the v6.

Oct 4, 2010 · I figured before seeing that link that to make the VR6 faster is to have after market ECU system, 5 angle valve job, port and polish the head and the intake manifold. but there's so much more with endless possibilities that can be done to make a V6 motor be a monster.
