Nov 16, 2021 · High FOV makes close range more viable as you don't have to move your crosshairs as much to track fast moving targets but it makes long range tracking significantly harder since center frame is much smaller relative to low FOV. Low FOV far range gives a better zoomed center frame and a much larger target as a result.

Apr 20, 2021 · Adding 120 FOV would have all of the console playerbase complain (since their 90 FOV is a hardware limitation). Removing the 120 FOV entirely instead would have a huge chunk of the pc playerbase annoyed (since many have Ultrawide monitors and a narrow FOV can cause motion sickness).

Why not just add 120 fov in-game or remove the ability for people to do that. Apparently It gives a huge advantage to controller players, just google 120fov apex on controller.

Well the galleon players are at a huge advantage by being able to see more around them. The potential for sneak attacks and what not are much slimmer when the people you're playing against have a wider FOV.
