Jul 4, 2014 · I actually wanted 10w50 but the only 10w50 I could find locally was either dedicated motorcycle oil or "diesel" oil, and I wasn't sure if the make up of the diesel oil would work in the quad. I could order Mobil 1 10w50, but it was $16/qt. I got a 5 qt jug of the 15w50 Mobil 1 for $37, and can walk into most auto parts stores and buy it.

Dec 22, 2012 · The Price between a gallon of the PS-4 Plus Synthetic 5W50 Engine Oil ($42) and the Extreme Duty Polaris PS4 Extreme Duty 10W50 Full Synthetic Oil ($49) is only a few bucks so I can always start using the Extreme Duty in 4 years which is how long a gallon will last me, lol.

Apr 6, 2022 · Gear oil is rated on a different scale than motor oil. For example, a 75w90 gear oil is the equivalent of a 10w40 to 10w50 motor oil. You can see that in warmer temps a 75W90 gear oil would be fine in the transmission. Angle Drive Fluid is just a 75w90 gear oil. It's also not AGL. I see a lot of people get these two mixed up.

Apr 1, 2015 · Polaris changes weights so often that it seems like from year to year it is different. The 5W50 breaks down to almost a 40wt pretty quick anyway so the 0W40 will give you all the protection you will need. As soon as I get my 570 back from the dealer getting the valve cover gasket fixed we will see how the 10W50 holds up at 55hrs.
