Dec 22, 2007 · If memory serves, my old ZR700 was at full shift at 7,800 or so and ran primary weights in the 60-64 gram range. I can tell you that the 700 is a torque monster (even though my zr600 was faster), it had one heck of a pull.

Jan 27, 2011 · I believe the 01's had the large gas cap vs the older small one with the gauge attached. But some of the 00 ZR's may be the same. I think the ZL's were the old style in 00. If you can stick your arm in the gas cap, it is the newer style and the same as the 01's.

Dec 27, 2007 · I have since twin piped it, porting, offset timing key, modified stock air box, 2000 ZR 700 gearing, stock cdi, Hacksaw 1 inch track, and my own clutch set-up. It runs @ 8350 for rpms. It runs side by side with 800's now.

Oct 28, 2004 · The reincarnation of the ZR 700 in 99 and 2000 never had the option of EFI, just flatslide Mikunis. Why would this be a bad thing, is this engine just is better with jet tinkering?

Dec 17, 2008 · I had a zr 700 that was piped, 600 gears and a wrong clutch setup and that beat the 2001 ZR and we had all kinds of time to swap riders and such. I would say the 670 would be in between us both.

Oct 7, 2008 · A stock zr 700 is putting out around 110-115 HP. Vipers are pretty fast sleds just stock. I am not sure about the HP rating of them but i am sure some people on here could to tell you.

Mar 16, 2008 · The old ZR700, from 94 - 96, was know as a real strong engine, only carbed version, and was the sled SuperTrax was writing about when they coined the term "hyper sled". The WildCat was the 700 with EFI, but it had 10 HP less than the ZR engine.
