Only as reliable as the previous owner treated it . understand that it’s a 20 year old motocross racing bike that wears out parts, if those parts haven’t been maintained and or replaced , they’ll break, and you’ll have to replace them. normally, a solid machine tho.

May 27, 2006 · I have a 2001 YZ 250 and have had trouble getting the carb adjusted properly. I can get it adjusted so that it idles when it is hot, but when I start it cold it idles way too high. I can also get it to idel when cold, but then when hot it wants to cut out when I pull the clutch.
