Ōtori Shrine (大鳥大社, Ōtori Taisha) is a Shinto shrine located in Nishi-ku, Sakai, Osaka Prefecture, Japan. It is the ichinomiya of former Izumi Province. [1] The shrine's main festival is held annually on August 13. [2]

It is a Myojin Taisha shrine that is said to have particularly remarkable miraculous powers and is recorded in the Engishiki Shinmeicho, which was completed in 927 AD. About 1,900 years ago, the spirit of Emperor Yamato Takeru turned into a swan of eight fathoms and flew away.
