The annoyance is twofold. 1. David Hayter has traditionally voiced snake since metal gear solid 1, he even voiced big boss in metal gear solid 3, and peace walker. Solid snake is a clone of big boss, and all of his dominate genes, which is why he looks and sounds just like him. 2. Kojima really just wanted to work with a big Hollywood actor.

Straight up embarrassing. It's weird cause they had to put effort into this mixup -- Googling Solid Snake does NOT pull up Big Boss images unless you really scroll and pick through.

Squeeze cheese for the depths: enter from the ashina depths idol, remove the guy from the scaffolding below you. Couple quick grapples to the stop of the statue between snake eyes and the 2 little guys to the left. As long as your crouched, you can sneak up behind snake eyes and get a deathblow.

Outside of Koukol, another npc, Snake's timing is probably the most obnoxious cycle in game. With the other major NPCs, you know you have from a bit after sunrise until sunset to talk to them, but Snake just has to be unique like that. :/ Doesn't help that he's interwoven with Mrs. Charm and the Astrologer's early-to-mid stories.
