Emby wants to continue to grow and be the best media server option available for our users. We hope to move to a quicker release schedule than in previous iterations that is both more efficient from a development standpoint and exciting for our users.

Jun 12, 2022 · Emby also sells a premium pass to cover their dedicated development, but they're not out jamming irremovable ads in my library and like i said, anyone can stop by their forums and then stop by the plex forums or subreddit and see the difference in respect and communication towards its users.

Jan 21, 2023 · I use Channels DVRs TVE feature in Emby. Works great. I have YouTube TV, Pluto, Frndly, my HDHomeRun, and a few other free services running through Channels.

I've been using Plex for about 9 years now, and overall I like it and think it works fairly well. I also bought the Plex lifetime pass several years ago when it was on sale (about $80 at the time). I sometimes see people frustrated with Plex though and who switched to Emby and say they like it better. For those who have, I'm curious why?
