Aug 17, 2021 · Ubiquiti has a cult following because when they first started offering AirMax and Edgerouter devices, nothing like them existed. Then the UniFi APs showed up and again, nothing like that really existed at those prices before. The unifi switches arent really anything special, but it's nice to have everything centralized.

Mar 8, 2023 · Was looking at sticking with Ubiquiti but I'm really not sure. I already have the USG, which seems to be perfectly sufficient for my 1Gbps connection, the US-8-60W which I've heard of issues with PoE and the U6E. Maybe a U6LR? The GWN7664 does look nice though. If I'm going away from Ubiquiti I'll probably replace everything.

Ubiquiti doesn’t do the best job at explaining, so lets go through them one by one. These settings and descriptions are using the default “new” interface, and they are current as of UniFi Network Application version 6.5.53.
