These counties are: El Dorado, Placer, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, and Sonoma. For example my uncle lives in Coacella valley. He does not have to smog his vehicle where he lives.

May 15, 2009 · As far as I can remember Carson City does not require emissions testing at all. Only residents of Washoe and Clark counties are required to Smog test. And btw, CC is not a part of Douglas County. It is in fact a city without a county, also known as an independent city.

I am in a county not shown and each new registration (change of owner) requires a smog unless it has been smogged already and is going to an immidiate family member.
