Aug 1, 2005 · I have a recollection that Leo Levine, in his massive Ford history "Ford: The Dust and the Glory," said that the big Mk IVs got all the way up to 232 on the Mulsanne in 1967. Even though the Mk IVs had 16" rims and a very tall final drive ratio in their 4-speed transaxle, 232 mph seems out of reach.

Aug 15, 2006 · Cobrar had a door alignment problem unique to the GT, and 50 BMG had a bad oil pressure gauge that was replaced indivually instead of the whole gauge cluster that the GT tech line did not know about. Unfortunatly SSV is not set up to be a repair facillity.

Apr 12, 2006 · The Sonic Blue was actually custom ordered by Chris Theodore. When Bill Ford found out about it, he had the car auctioned off for charity. As we all are aware, Chris was in charge of the Ford GT Program for Ford, having previously been in charge of the Dodge Viper Program for Chrysler. Chris is now in a small special performance vehicle company.

Jul 13, 2006 · Kayvan, I just had my oil changed on Friday at Scarsdale Ford. Mark is a GT certified mechanic, he knows his stuff. Went on the drive on lift, no lifting points needed. If you go, just do what I did, I sat and waited in the service area, they even invited me back to the service area while the car was up.

Feb 14, 2008 · Ford F-150 piece installed into Ford GT fuel filler tube assembly. I sealed the piece with fuel sensor safe silicone. I was absolutely amazed that the Ford F-150 dimensions were identical to the Ford GT. The F-150 door location was exactly in the same position as the Ford GT's. Plus the installed insertion is exactly the same as the GT's.

Oil filters for instance are the same as most BMW 3 series. Brake pads are the same profile Brembos as the Shelby GT500s use so many compounds are readily available at very resonable cost.
