Nov 3, 2021 · As a test, I turned on DMZ for my FTP PC in router, disabled Norton firewall (briefly to test) and still couldn't open a data connection. Connects to the server, but can't open directory list. With port triggering, it now works over LAN, but not remote.

May 1, 2015 · The message stating that the server does not support FTP over TLS is purely informational, FileZilla does fall back to plain FTP in this case. The server rejects your login data altogether. That usually means that either username and/or password are wrong, or the server experiences problems regarding your FTP account.
