Sep 8, 2009 · The C5 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 was introduced as the successor to the FRC C5 Vette. This model Chevy Corvette produced superior performance for a number of reasons. The Z06 employed a high horsepower edition of the LS1 standard V-8 called the LS6. This engine produced 385 horsepower (or 287kW) and was lighter and faster than the previous ZR1 engine.

Dec 11, 2023 · The seats in the C5 Z06 had additional side bolstering. And you could get them with Torch Red accents. The seat headrests also had special embroidering that featured the Z06 logos. Oct 24, 2024 · I’ve had a C5 vert, C6 LS2, and C5 Z06 -all manual 6spd….and can say from experience out of the box C5 Z06 is hands down the most fun to drive…. C6 base with minor suspension upgrades (C6 Z06 shocks and C6 Z51 sway bars) was also fun but didn’t have that same raw feeling the C5 Z06 does.

There were several C6 Z06 iterations from 2006 to 2013. There was a Ron Fellows Edition, a Carbon Edition, a GT1 Championship Edition, a Centennial Edition, and a 60th Anniversary Edition. But the values are not drastically different between them.

Jan 18, 2017 · Very easy, used lower mileage Z06 springs aren't to hard to come by at decent prices, and Z06 shocks / sways are available very reasonable from a few vendors here. I've swapped my entire suspension over to Z06 components and it really don't take much wrench time or money to do. TSP has a great set of ported 243 heads a an awesome price.

Sep 3, 2020 · The C5 Corvette Z06 in particular came out in a time when GM was making a lot of very terrible cars. Reliability and interior quality are years behind compared to European rivals, but here is a track-ready Z06 in perfect order with nary a squeak or rattle.
