85 vs. 85D | Tesla Motors Club
Mar 6, 2015 · It's hard to get a real sense of how much better the 85D "handles" by reading about it. But there is a world of difference between the 85 and 85D, it just feels more planted, in all conditions / situations. It's absolutely worth the extra $$$, IMO. - - - Updated - - -
P85 vs 85D | Tesla Motors Club
Aug 11, 2018 · I've got a P85 and I've driven a P85D and a 85D as a loaner. The performance of the 85D is comparable to my P85.... The P85D was a whole other level. There is a little more noise from the front drive unit in the 85D. The biggest thing I'd miss with the 85D vs the P85 is the frunk space. I have ~2x as much space in my frunk vs the 85D.
85D vs P85D. Whats the difference other then 0-60times?
The 85D's range is 17 mile further than the P85D. If comparing to March P85D or earlier, the P85D's suspension is *WAY* stiffer and more uncomfortable than the 85D. Unless you need the off the line acceleration, the 85D is a better car all around plus a lot less expensive.
difference between P85D and 85D. | Tesla Motors Club
Jun 10, 2014 · The 85D does it in about 4 seconds while while the P85D does it in about 3 seconds. 1 second at those times is a humungous difference. Even at lower SOCs, the P85D will still output more power at very low RPMs than the 85D will so it's 0-60 is still much faster than an 85D even if both are charged at 60%.
75D vs 85D vs 90D CPO - Real World Range Differences?
Jul 14, 2018 · Given that the 3 models listed above are now very close in price on the used market (2015/2016 model year with 35k miles or less), is there any benefit in going with one model over another when it comes to range and battery health? I've read a bit about some of the first 2015 90 battery packs...
Welcome to Tesla Motors Club
Apr 25, 2023 · Welcome fellow BMS_u029 "casualty". Great and accurate post. Last Fall I ordered reman 85 from my TSC and new 90 came in. Tesla honored the $15k (includes tax and labor) reman quote and didn't charge me for suspension parts/labor.
P85 vs. 85D | Tesla Motors Club
May 3, 2015 · I think the 85D is the better buy, for all conditions, better acceleration around corners (higher exit speed) etc. The only reason I'd personally ever consider a used P85 over a new 85D would be price, or being a RWD lover. And even then I'd urge the 85D, personally. EDIT- just saw you have a P85 now... so maybe you're considering an 85D upgrade?
Slightly different take on the 70D vs. 85D debate
Jul 3, 2015 · However I think this will be pretty minor in the 85D (say a 5-6k greater depre over 4 years) but will be significantly more on the P85D. We see the same thing on say a BMW 5 series... E.g. a 3 year old 535i may have depreciated 25k, a 550i then would have deprecated maybe 30k, while a M5 would have depreciated 40k+.
2015 Model S 85D after 5-6 months... - Tesla Motors Club
Jun 8, 2024 · So I bought a great condition 2015 Model S 85D a few months ago for about $23k (plus $8k in incentives for used cars under 25k...so around 15k after incentives) that had around 50k miles. It has a 1.0 FSD computer, MCU2 (added later) , dual charging (added later, I did this by myself with a few...
2015 Model S 85D - New Owner | Tesla Motors Club
Jun 6, 2023 · Every 85 and 85D ever produced came with free unlimited supercharging and free connectivity. I don't remember exactly when those two entitlements went away, but in 2015 they were taken for granted by a lot of owners. IMHO the only reason they seem rare now is that Tesla produced a _lot_ of cars without those perks since then.
