A yellow weather warning for ice has been issued by the Met Office. The warning is in place for parts of Suffolk and Norfolk and comes into force from 16:00 GMT until 10:00 on Friday. The Met Office said scattered wintery showers could lead to some icy patches on untreated surfaces.

A further yellow weather warning has been issued for freezing temperature’s on higher ground. The warning is in place from 12:30pm today until 10am on Saturday, January 11, during which road surface temperature’s will remain ‘close to freezing’.

A new weather warning for snow has been issued for all of Kent. The Met Office has put in place a yellow alert for Wednesday (January 8) from 9am until 11:59pm. Experts say a weather system may push snow southwards, potentially causing disruption. In some areas, 2-5cm of snow could fall and settle, and as much as 10cm over higher ground.
