One in three South Shore towns had a Trump majority vote. Those towns were Carver, Hanover, Hanson, Kingston, Pembroke, Rockland and Whitman. The majority vote differences were as little as 17 votes, as was the case in Kingston, to as high as 933 votes in Carver.

SWAT officers spent several hours immediately after the shooting outside the apartment where the suspect lives, but never found him there. He was arrested Thursday, but police have not revealed where.

Raylon East, a 36-year-old South Shore resident, faces two counts of first-degree murder and one count of felony unlawful use of a weapon, police said.
