The fire started around 1:17 p.m. in the vicinity of 14322 Pomerado Road, and by 1:45 p.m., it was 2 acres large.
The fire was reported just after 1 p.m. on Monday near Ted Williams Pkway and Pomerado Rd. and quickly spread near homes.
