An American Airlines plane with 64 people on board collided with an Army helicopter over Washington, D.C., and crashed into the Potomac River.

A star-studded group of some of the best U.S. figure skaters of the past and present took the ice Sunday in the nation's capital to remember and raise money for the victims of the midair collision outside Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

One month after 67 lives were lost in a midair collision over the Potomac River, figure skating legends and the D.C. community came together at Capital One Arena for a powerful tribute: "Legacy on Ice.
