Night 1 of Eagles’ Sphere residency proved there’s something enchanting about pairing songs that have this deep of a history with a brand-new medium.

The Eagles' first night at Las Vegas' Sphere brought more of the huge visuals seen in previous U2 and Dead runs, but was even more about the songbook.

Friday was the opening night for the newest resident at Las Vegas’ shimmering orb slash performance venue, Sphere. Eagles rocked the venue for the first time, opening the night with their massive and iconic hit, “Hotel California.”

Eagles began their 20-show residency at Sphere on Friday night with a visually stunning performance at the state-of-the-art Las Vegas venue.

As the fourth band to take over the Sphere, the Eagles had the challenge of elevating their visuals to best suit the distinctive Vegas venue. At the opening show of their residency Sept. 20 – they’ll offer 20 performances over select weekends through Jan.
