According to the NWS advisory, the Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 7 p.m. Wednesday to 9 a.m. Thursday, covering portions of southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey, and southeast New York. The storm is bringing mixed precipitation, transitioning from snow to sleet and freezing rain overnight.

The seemingly endless cycle of snow, torrential rain and disruptive weather will continue this weekend as a powerful storm system lashes the central and eastern US.
