Rory McIlroy made the shot of his life on Thursday. Playing in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am at Spyglass Hill Golf Course, the Northern Irish golfer sank a hole-in-one through the air on the par-3 15th hole from 119 yards out.

Rory McIlroy has suggested that the PGA Tour could scale back the number of tournaments it stages each year in order to combat “fatigue” among golf’s fanbase.

The four-time major champion has a lot of thoughts on the state of pro golf but said “we shouldn’t try to dumb down golf to appeal to more people.”
