Thousands of supporters of the longtime leader of Lebanon’s militant Hezbollah group have flown into Beirut for Hassan Nasrallah’s funeral this weekend.

One of the founding members of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah was elected secretary-general a decade later after Israel killed his predecessor. 5 months after his killing, millions are participating in his funeral.

Nasrallah Funeral Preparations Begin. Hezbollah is preparing for a massive funeral for its slain leader, Hassan Nasrallah, nearly five months after his death in an Israeli strike. Streets in Beirut are lined with banners as thousands are expected to gather at the Camille Chamoun Sports Stadium on Sunday.
