Thousands of Amazon workers have ended their days-long strike against the company, according to the Teamsters union. But tensions persist, with the union saying its efforts aren’t over.

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters announced their support of an Amazon worker strike which started on Thursday after the company didn’t meet the union’s deadline for bargaining negotiations with protestors.

With Christmas two days away, workers at four Amazon warehouses in Southern California are on strike Monday on claims the corporate giant refuses to recognize their union and negotiate fair contracts.

The Teamsters union is launching a strike against Amazon at numerous locations across the country, including in Maspeth, Queens.

Amazon workers in several cities nationwide have walked off the job, initiating what the Teamsters labor union calls the “largest strike” against the online retail titan less than a week before Christmas.

Delays may impact the arrival of packages ahead of Christmas, but wide-scale delays to deliveries appear unlikely.
