Many expect Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders to be the first passer taken in the 2025 NFL draft next April, and after the season he had this year — 3,926 yards passing, 35 touchdowns, eight interceptions — there’s a good chance they’re right.

As it stands, Miami's Cam Ward and Colorado's Shedeur Sanders have made their case -- and will have the next few months to continue to do so -- and the handful of NFL teams that need franchise QBs will be jockeying for position to draft them.
