An investigation is underway after woman in Rock Hill was found dead in a home on Saturday, according to Rock Hill Police. Police officers went to the residence on Cauthen Street for a welfare check on a 53-year-old woman.

Around 12:10 a.m. on Nov. 3, officers responded to 1195 Saluda Street where they found a 21-year-old man on the ground who had been shot in the head. Police said the young man pulled out a gun and tried to rob both Boyd and Franklin, and Franklin pulled out his own firearm and shot the 21-year-old man, seriously injuring him.
