On Jan. 3, two 17-year-olds were shot in the Bronx, according to a statement from the police. One was shot in the abdomen and taken to a hospital in stable condition; the other, Andrew Mora, was shot in the chest and died.

Cops were called around 9:30 a.m. to NYCHA’s Mitchel Houses on E. 138th St. near Alexander Ave. in Mott Haven where they found the wounded teen.

According to police, Caleb Rios was stabbed twice in the chest at 9:25 a.m. at 300 East 138th St., around the corner from his home. He was found unconscious and unresponsive by police and transported to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
