LANSING — The state’s Capitol welcomed Friday a newly refurbished, donated and Michigan-made piano acquired from a Greater Lansing church to serve as a centerpiece within its historic walls.

Denver Heights is home to at least 10 churches that are more than 100 years old. They have played more than a religious role in the lives of the neighborhood's generations.
